• Glasgow’s newest tapas restaurant! A review of Iberica.

Tapas has always been a weak spot for me & I was super excited to be invited to try some of the menu for Iberica before their opening in Glasgow on September the 30th! The new restaurant is situated on St Vincent Street. From researching the existing restaurants in London, Leeds & Manchester, I knew that the decor would be stunning. I was not disappointed! Spanish designer Lazaro Rosa Violan has created a relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere with stand out vintage features & Celtic cultural mapping over the walls.  The bar area to the rear of the restaurant again is stylish but has plenty of seating so I would recommend even…

  • If hard liquor & light cider had a baby… A review of Blind Pig Cider!

As a cider lover, I was very excited to try Blind Pig cider when I mistakenly came across it at the Howlin’ Wolf in Glasgow. The first thing I noticed was the packaging! These bottles are great to look at. Heineken based the marketing & look of the brand on American 1920’s Speakeasys. If you order this beverage in a bar it comes wrapped in a printed brown paper wrapper… It’s like Christmas, the more presents you get to unwrap the better… & the same can be said about the cider! I’m a big fan of fruity & flavoured ciders with the old favourites being my usual choice of drink in…

  • B’est Restaurant Review

This weekend I ventured into Edinburgh & tried B’est Restaurant on Drummond Street. I had found a groupon voucher that amounted to three courses for 2 for £37. Good deal I thought, so I had to check it out! First of all, I LOVED the decor. It felt like I was entering a time warp… But in a good way. It made me feel nostalgic to going to small restaurants on holiday that looked like they were stuck in the 70s but served some amazing authentic food! However, this was a Friday night & expecting to arrive to a busy bustling restaurant, we were the only people there & our…

  • Juniper Gin Festival at Glasgow’s SWG3

First of all, a massive thank you to Tipple Box for the tickets to this event! Having visited the Juniper Gin Festival in Edinburgh this summer, I was sooooo excited to hear thaat it was coming to Glasgow. The event was held in SWG3 in Glasgow’s West End & hosted stalls of 20 different gin producers, some tasty treats & a very cute crafty stall. The day also included various talks about the gins.  We managed to catch the Arbikie Gin talk in which we learned a great deal about gin production in Scotland from the juniper berries to the distillation.  This talk also included more samples of gin, just incase we weren’t…
