• How to do pizza & beer right at Pizza Punks!

Last week I finally got to try Glasgow’s newest pizza joint, Pizza Punks! The bright pink neon signage draws attention on St Vincent Street & I think most people that pass by are intrigued to see inside & get a look at what they have to offer! We were treated to beer expertise of Jules (I think everyone at the table was jealous of her job!). She had picked three beers to go with three Pizza Punks creations which Nick had rustled up. Okay, so beer & pizza on a school night? I was definitely up for that & was excited to see what was on the cards! Ding ding…

  • Amour des Fleurs launch night – beautiful roses & a beautiful evening!

  • Mexican market food comes to Edinburgh! Wahaca restaurant review.

Mexican market food has come to Edinburgh! Thomasina Miers  co-founder of Wahaca wants to give you the experience of fresh & vibrant food inspired from her love of Mexican cuisine. From the London restaurant, Wahaca has expanded across the UK & has finally opened North of the border! Last week I had the opportunity to sample the menu & see what this new restaurant had to offer. To begin with, I tried the chorizo topped frijoles. I enjoyed the smokey chorizo combined with the creamy twice cooked black beans. The guacamole really brought the freshness & vibrancy of Mexican cuisine that I was hoping for! The guacamole is made daily with fresh…

  • Hope against breast cancer! Donate yer bras!!!!

This morning The Hope Bar & Eatery hosted a coffee & cakes morning to raise funds for Against Breast Cancer. There was cupcakes, balloons, cappuccinos, cocktails & a bra bin! This morning was set up to raise funds for Against Breast Cancer & I can’t stress how important it is to support charities like this that make such a difference in research to bring a future without breast cancer as close to the present as possible. Against Breast Cancer take a different approach in which their main focus is to combat ‘secondary spread’. This is the main cause for breast cancer related deaths. Against Breast Cancer invest in research, in education &…

So,…

Earlier this week I was invited to try some of the menu at Ninja Kitchen at Frederick Street in Edinburgh. This restaurant was already on my list of places to try so I was very excited to come down to try some Ninja cooking! Head chef Markus talked us through the menu & let us in to the influences of Ninja Buns that you may have seen in Leith or at the Meadows! He discovered the Taiwanese Gua Bao style of cooking from a street food van in California & has developed his own style of pan Asian cooking! Note! For those with dietary requirements, there are loads of gluten free…

The event consisted of guest speakers from some of the participating brands & companies that will be there to showcase their products for the big day! First speaker of the night was a representative from Fake…
